{\*\generator Msftedit 5.41.15.1507;}\viewkind4\uc1\pard\lang1033\f0\fs20 NPC classes go up to 5th lvl.\b\fs24\par
\b0\fs20 NPC classes can upgrade with training to PC classes after the 2nd lvl. A 3rd lvl warrior that trains with a fighter for long would eventually turn to 2nd lvl warrior/1st lvl fighter and then 1st lvl warrior/2nd lvl fighter.\par
When an NPC upgrades his class he gains the benefits of the new class for each traded level, talents, bonus feats etc as if he had multiclassed in this class. If a skill he's trained in is a cross class skill for his new class, he keeps his rank but can't increase the ranks beyond the normal maximum of his new class. If he has ranks in a cross class skill that's a class skill for his new class he gains the full benefit increasing the ranks accordingly. \par
For the warrior example, if the warrior had spent 2 skill points to gain 1 rank in leadership when he advanced to 3rd lvl warrior, upon upgrading his 3rd lvl to the 1st lvl of fighter, then he would gain another rank of leadership.\b\par
